Unless your hair is utterly, flawlessly and perfectly straight, you’ll have to have used or owned a flat iron at some point in your life. With all the choice available on today’s market, lots of people have discovered new ways to create exciting styles and to do that, they have had to learn a few tricks to bring out the most in their styling appliances.

Many have found the Karmin G3 to be one of the flat irons to most match their styling needs, with lots of potential to create professional-level looks. Here are some tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your own flat iron.

Tip/Trick 1: one of the first tricks is to find the ideal flat iron for you. The type and size of flat iron depends on the type and texture of your hair, for example if you have long, thick or course hair you need a flat iron with plates up to 3 inches in width. If you have short, thin or fine hair, go for flat iron with smaller plates.

Tip/Trick 2: Not only can you straighten hair with flat irons, you can experiment with waves and curls too! All you need is the right technique and enough time to spare.

Tip/Trick 3: Let your flat iron heat up before you start styling. Also, make sure your hair is clean, unwashed or product-covered hair makes a mess of the plates and can affect the performance of your flat iron, even damage your locks in the process. Always wash and condition your hair, applying a heat protectant before styling when your hair is completely dry.

Tip/Trick 4: section off your hair, it makes styling a quicker and more efficient process. Keep each section small enough for your flat iron to avoid running over the same parts again and again.

Tip/Trick 5: when you work on a section of hair, press the plates down as close to the scalp as you can without burning yourself. Use steady, even pressure when sliding the flat iron down, all the way to the ends.

Once you consider these tips and trips, nothing is stopping you from obtaining the results you want!
